Purpose: The purpose of this article is to illustrate how to use cash flow forecast functionality for purchase orders .

AX 2012: Customer Item Statistics

Purpose: The purpose of this article is to illustrate how to use Customer Item Statistics functionality to analysis revenue,Item Group and item Sales amount per customer.

Scenario:For a customers account  that you manage, it is very important to analysis the revenue,item and item group sales amount for a customer before decide to grant long payment terms,discount or bonus.

  Use the following procedures to work with Customer Item Statistics:

1. Go to Accounts receivable-->Common-->Customers-->All customers
   

AX 2012: Price simulation Part I: Create a header price simulation

Purpose: The purpose of this article is to illustrate how to use price simulation functionality  in sales quotation.  

Scenario:For a quotation that you manage, it is very important that you simulate the quotation sales price to shows a new total amount, based on a proposed new discount percentage.

Note : A price simulation does not change the price in the quotation. If the price simulation is applied to a whole quotation, it is treated as a special discount on the quotation header. 

  Use the following procedures to work with price simulations.

1. Click Sales and marketing > Common > Sales quotations > All quotations
   

AX 2012 Alert Management Part II : Due date alerts

Purpose: The purpose of this article is to illustrate how to configure and use the Due date alerts functionality in MS Dynamics Axapta 2012   

Scenario: For a project that you manage, it is very important that you receive deliveries on time. Purchases are handled through the purchasing department of your company, but you want to follow up on deliveries for your project two weeks before the actual delivery date.
Therefore, you create a rule that triggers an alert when the delivery date of purchase orders for your project is two weeks away.  To do that we need to do the following :

First : Configure the Server configuration

1. Go to System administration --> Setup --> System --> Server configuration.
   

Ledger account alias | AX 2012

Purpose: the purpose of this article is to illustrate the Ledger account alias functionality which used to provide a shortcut to a complete or partial ledger account number.

Scenarios: assume that the accounts manager in Contoso designed the expense accounts structure to be associated with three dimensions (Department, Cost center and Expanse Purpose) . 

That's mean each time the clerk Intends to register a car rental expense he must specify the three dimension(Department, Cost center and Expanse Purpose).Therefore he decided to use the Ledger account alias functionality in order to simplify the entries process. to know how he can do that please do the following :    

1. Click General ledger > Setup > Chart of accounts > Ledger account alias.
   

   

AX 2012 ِAlert Management Part I : Change based alerts

Purpose: The purpose of this article is to illustrate how to configure and use the change based alerts functionality in MS Dynamics Axapta 2012   

Scenario: In this article we are going to send alert to specific user if the value in the "Report as ready" field has been changed in General Journal Voucher. To do that we need to do the following :
